Treat Me Right (version 1)
This painting was created to ease the minds of those who have been mentally, physically or sexually abused by the opposite sex (or same sex). Domestic violence should not be tolerated. Spouses, boyfriends and girlfriends who hurt their partners need to understand that what they are doing is completely wrong and must be stopped so they can never abuse anyone again. This art also is meant to take away the desires of attackers or abusers and make them face their wrongdoings.

Inspiration
The meaning behind this picture came from messages in dreams.
Situation
Being abused, raped or controlled by a spouse, girlfriend or boyfriend, or sexually harassed by a co-worker (or anyone for that matter) takes a tremendous amount of energy to get through. Even when it stops, it is difficult or impossible to forget. Only time can heal, and this painting is an attempt to help speed up the healing process.
Notes
This is the first of three designs of "Treat Me Right". While each is based on the same design and has the same melody, each reaches out to a different audience. See version 2 and version 3 here.
Whenever I paint to help someone, I always try to look at both sides of the issue. I try to remain pure in thought, with unconditional love, as I'd imagine God would want me to. I never hope for revenge against a person, as that is God's work and it will be done. My job is to spread peace, love and compassion.
