The Protector
This design was made to protect us from disaster, ward off evil, protect from malignant diseases and bring rain in times of drought. This is based on one of the Wisdom Kings in Buddhism called the “Peacock King”. Some names in other languages are:
- Japanese: 孔雀明王 Kujaku Myōō
- Sanskrit: महामायूरी Mahāmāyūrī
- Chinese: 孔雀明王
- Kǒngquè Míngwáng
- Korean: 공작명왕 GongJakMyeongWang

Inspiration
As I read and learned about the Myōō (Buddhist Deity) I became interested in this one known as the Peacock King.
Situation
This is spiritual healing art for times of great disaster and disease.
Notes
Another in this series is Aizen Myōō, whose main vow is love and compassion and converts earthly desires into spiritual awakenings.
